Chaplin's World, five kilometers west in Corsier-sur-Vevey, occupies the Manoir de Ban — a neoclassical residence that served as Charlie Chaplin's home from 1953 until his death in 1977. The estate opened as a museum in 2016, combining biographical exhibits with a film studio recreation and terraced gardens overlooking the water. Chaplin's World includes extensive outdoor grounds that lose appeal in rain. The lake steamer service, which offers a slower but scenic alternative to the train, runs reduced schedules from November through March.
